Boards
Arrange the pieces until the arrangement means something.
A collection read top to bottom is a list. Spread across a board it becomes an argument — this next to that, the two of them above the one that answers both. Drag them into place, or move them with the keyboard. A board scales to whatever screen is looking at it.
Highlighting
Mark a photographed page the way you would mark a real one.
Drag across the lines that matter and they take the colour, ink intact — the same in the app, on a published page, and in an exported PDF. Nothing is written onto the photograph, so a highlight can be moved or taken off again at any time.

Export the lot to PDF, whenever you like, on any plan.
Your clippings are stored on your own device first, which is why the app opens instantly and works on a train with no signal. If this service disappeared tomorrow your archive would still be there, and you could take it with you as a document. That ordering is deliberate.

Nothing you write is shown to anyone unless you deliberately publish it, and a published page is a frozen copy at a fixed address rather than a post in someone’s timeline. It carries no analytics and nothing that watches the person reading it. These absences are the point, not features not yet got round to.
